Highest Power Tractor Arrives in Australia

The highest horsepower tractor in the Case IH range in Australia and New Zealand, and one of the most powerful tractors available on the local market, has arrived.

Packing an impressive 645hp, the Case IH AFS Connect 645 Quadtrac was shown at the recent Dowerin Machinery Field Days in Western Australia following the official launch of the new range at the AgQuip field days at Gunnedah, NSW, earlier last month where the new AFS Connect 550 Quadtrac was centre-stage.

Case IH Australia and New Zealand product manager for High Horsepower Tractors, Justin Bryant, was at the Dowerin field days and said the 645 Quadtrac had turned a lot of heads.

“There were a lot of comments about the power of this machine and just what it was capable of on-farm,” he said.

“A tractor with this kind of horsepower can fulfil the heaviest of tasks with a level of ease and performance we haven’t seen before.

“This, combined with the upgraded connectivity and technology on the MY24 Steiger range, makes them an attractive addition to any large-scale farming operation.”

The latest upgrades for the MY24 Steiger range has features including increased levels of cab comfort and AFS Connect data management technology.

The Steiger model offering comprises:
- Rowcrop wheeled models from 425hp to 525hp;
- Wideframe wheeled models from 555hp to 645hp;
- Scraper models from 555hp to 645hp;
- Quadtrac models from 475hp to 645hp; and

- Rowtrac models from 425hp to 525hp.

The updates for MY24 include a new FPT 13-litre cursor engine that Case said provides greater power and faster engine response across each model along with improvements in fuel and fluid efficiency.

There is also a new design of cab roof styling with integrated overhead grab rails for operator security, and an updated cab interior with new headliner, overhead console and ram mount rails.

The MY24 range also has the option of a second AFS Pro 1200 display option from factory and a premium sound option with an amplifier, tweeters, 6.5-inch subwoofer with ported box and additional speaker grills.

Case also make available an enhanced LED lighting package with greater output options for 360-degree night lighting visibility.
