John Deere has rolled into Hort Connections 2025 with its largest-ever display — unveiling new models and specialist machinery tailored to the horticulture sector.

The lineup at Brisbane’s Convention & Exhibition Centre includes the brand-new 6M 250, the 5ML orchard and vineyard specialist, the extra-high 5090EH, and the Z370R Electric ZTrak™ Zero Turn Mower — all designed to meet the evolving needs of fruit, vegetable, and vine growers.

“Each year we try to bring something new to Hort Connections and this year we’ve assembled our best line-up yet,” said Erin Wagstaff, John Deere Australia & NZ Marketing Manager for Small Ag and Turf.

“From our versatile and popular workhorse, the 6M, to the painstakingly designed hort specialist, the 5ML, we really wanted to demonstrate how we value our horticulture customers and that we are working to find the right solution for their needs.”

All-New 6M Series
The updated 6M range now offers more power, speed, and flexibility. With four models hitting 200hp or higher, options like 50kph transmissions, Intelligent Power Management, dual rear wheels, and a digital cornerpost display make it the ideal mid-size utility tractor for growers needing strength and smarts.

Styling has also been refreshed to align with John Deere’s 6R, 7R, and 8R families.

5ML: Built for Vineyards and Orchards
With 105–130 hp, the 5ML delivers serious capability in a compact frame. Features like programmable LED lighting, a front hitch and PTO, and an optional Limb Lifter kit make it perfect for navigating tight rows while protecting crops.

Available in multiple axle widths, it also includes PowrQuad™ PLUS or Powr8™ transmission choices.

5EH: Extra Height, Extra Comfort
Ideal for delicate crop conditions, the 5EH offers 690mm of clearance and dual SCVs. It features a quiet cab with air-con, heating, and a wide rear window, plus an optional creeper gear for low-speed jobs.

Z370R: The Quiet, Electric Performer

The Z370R Electric ZTrak™ Mower introduces battery-electric power to John Deere’s mower range in Australia and New Zealand. With a 3.2kWh lithium-ion battery sealed to IP66 standard, it can mow up to two acres per charge*, and plugs into a standard power outlet.
