The most powerful tractor available in Australia has landed with Steiger now preparing its 715 Quadtrac for a tour of dealerships and opening the order books for delivery beginning later this year, just in time for winter cropping 2025.

Justin Bryant, Case IH ANZ Steiger product manager Justin Bryant said the 715 was the largest and most powerful tractor Case IH has produced.

“As part of the Quadtrac family, it further complements the proud history of this dynamic range which has been a leader in tractor power and efficiency since 1996,” he said.

“The large-scale broad acre sector of our industry has been demanding more power, and we’ve delivered with the Steiger 715 Quadtrac, which is ideally suited to what these farmers need, and to our - at times - demanding and challenging conditions.”

The 715 has an engine rated for 715 continuous horsepower (527kW) and a 778 peak HP. It is designed to deliver “power with purpose”, putting more power to the ground to do more in a day, while being agile and versatile enough to navigate a single lane of traffic.

Mr Bryant said that the new machine, which follows the new Steiger range launched last year, “positions the range as one of Case IH’s most flexible tractor offerings.”

“This is a major, and very exciting, announcement for our brand and we’re extremely proud to finally have it here and available for Australian and New Zealand customers to order.”

715 Quadtrac Packed with New Features

The 715 features include a new heavy-duty undercarriage with a longer track design for improved traction and flotation to match the tractor’s high horsepower. Despite the extra length, the tractor still reduces soil compaction while delivering more power to the ground.

The 715’s FPT 16-litre TST (twin-stage-turbo) Tier 2 engine is 23 per cent bigger in displacement than the previous largest machine, the 13-litre engine, with more power and more torque.

Steiger said the 715’s also had a higher three-point linkage capacity; improved visibility from the operator’s cab with newly re-styled cab interior; redesigned bonnet and exhaust; and increased LED lighting power.

Overhauled Cabin Offers Improved Safety and Functionality

The cabin also has been redesigned with integrated overhead grab rails for safer access, while powerful LED work lighting improves work conditions and the addition of an integrated antenna allows for in-cab tyre pressure monitoring.

The cabin also has optional dual Pro 1200 displays for increased functionality, ventilated and heated leather seat, telescoping steering wheel with memory lock, and a leather MultiControl armrest.

The bigger tractor has a 16-speed PowerDrive power-shift transmission that gives increased road speed and to compensate for the bigger engine, has an increased fuel capacity to allow longer stints in the paddock.

Steiger said it also has easier daily service with 31 per cent greater access to the engine and high-maintenance components thanks to the re-designed engine hood and debris shields that are easily removed without the need for tools.

715 Quadtrac Latest is the Latest Addition to Steiger Offering
